Thomas Edison was a badass

I recently saw back-to-back commercials which mentioned Thomas Edison.  One was for a car company which trumpeted innovation, which Edison may have been the greatest innovator in history (him and da Vinci).  The next commercial was for CFL light bulbs and trumpeted how much better their bulbs were than the incandescent bulb invented by Edison in the 1800s.  Pretty bad ass that something he invented over 130 years ago has finally been bettered in recent times.  Of course, the marketers probably hate that I don't remember what either product was.  Anyway, props to you Mr. Edison!
